English Speech - Corruption in Indonesia and the Suitable Punishment

Indonesia is a developing country with high scale of poverty. But, this condition does not motivate the goverment tto improve Indonesia. Most of the goverment member choose to take country's money for them selves. It means, most of the goverment member didnt do their duty well. Evev, they steal the country's money.

There are many corruption cases in Indonesia. On internet I saw there are about 1800 corruption cases in Indonesia for a year. I'll tell you several corruption case in Indonesia. First, the corruption case of Century. We know that few months ago Indonesia make a special commite for solving this problem. And they held many meetings for finding solution. But untill know, the Special Commite have not give the solution for this case. They just spend country's money for holding many meetings. The second case is about Gayus Tambunan. He corruptes the tax and the goverment still cannot solve this problem. After that, there is Marulli Pandapotan Manurung, the leadership of Gayus Tambunan. He got 570 millions rupiahs plus 1,5 billions by corrupted the tax.The goverment still searching the solution for this case. And the last, there is Toni Haryono, husband of Rina Iriani, the regent of Karang Ayar, West Java got 5 billions rupiahs by corrupted the foundation from building the Griya Lawu Asri housing.

According to the research op PERS (Politic and Economy Risk Concultasy), now Indonesia is on the fisrt rank of the corruption's cpuntry from Asia Pasifik. It is so horrible, because with corruption, it'll be difficult even imposible to improve our country. Our country will be poorer than before.

On our laws there are many punishment for the corruptor. But the question now is how to make the corruptor afrais to do corruption? We need to follow China. I China, the goverment or other person that are corrupted will get capital punishment or death penalthy. If Indonesia can hold that law, the corruptor or other person who wanna corrupt will be afrais to corrupted. It doesnt matter if other country make us cruel. Because the most important thing is how to solve corruption problem. And it will help the goverment to improve Indonesia and influence Indonesia's corruption rank.
